Our exhibition has been a resounding success. The Mayor of Ruthin, Mrs Christine Ellis, officially opened the show at a private viewing for members and guests on the evening of 17th August, and gave the show a warm endorsement. The current chairman of the North Wales Photographic Association, Mr Charles Meadows, and his wife Nicola, also joined us for the event and gave us their encouragement. Annie Davies and Jan Wilson-Chalon provided excellent nibbles to pair with the wine.

We did wonder how the work on the Square would impact attendance at the exhibition, but our fears were unfounded. 605 visitors came which is up 30% on last year. 468 visitors engaged with the public vote, and every image was somebody's favourite. Pammy was overall winner with 53 votes for "Harvest Sunflower".

As usual, Yr Hen Lys were excellent hosts. We look forward to another event next year.
