These are open to paid up members of the club. Major competitions (2 open subject and 2 themed), are held each season, and points from these count towards the club championship. Each Major competition has categories for Prints (colour and mono) and Projected digital images.

In addition the Gordon Roberts competition is for Monochrome prints and the Bernard Woolford competition is for a panel of 3 to 6 prints. In 2024 we have decided to include scores from these in the club championship.

The images of the year competition is for images taken since the 1st January in the previous year.( So judged in 2025 but taken since January 2024)
